What's the difference between OFQUAL Accredited training and Modular training? We can deliver either accredited/Awarding Organisation-regulated OR self-regulated training but the main advantage of self-regulated is that it can either exactly follow the AO's course content where preferred, or can deviate from this stricter syllabus to create a more relevant experience for your workplace. It's your choice! These courses are still HSE compliant, and meet legal first aid requirements.

How do I identify and select a competent training provider? As an employer, you will need assurance that you have selected an appropriate training provider. You will therefore need to check that they meet the standards in several areas (due diligence). All training providers should be prepared to demonstrate that they: are competent to deliver first-aid training. have qualified trainers. teach relevant course content in the correct way. have the necessary quality assurance systems in place. Training providers can regulate their own training as long they are conducting themselves correctly. As long as your training is HSE compliant - so appropriately regulated by either an Awarding Organisation or self-regulated by those in charge of delivery (either a training centre or in-house), it will fulfil legal requirements. FutureTrain offers both.

Is it regulated and who with? FutureTrain Ltd are proud to be an affiliated NUCO centre and approved by First Aid Awards Ltd, our industry recognised governing body who regulates and approves all our training courses. With our stringent Quality Assurance processes running through our training courses from booking right through to certification, you can rest assured that we can provide you with the exact qualifications you require.

Why are you cheaper than other providers? The other advantage with self-regulated training is that it is cheaper - through ourselves, at least - because we offer OFQUAL qualifications at a higher price, due to the additional costs involved for being associated with an Awarding Organisation, rather than charging all of our clients the same higher rate. Unlike some providers, this does not come at the expense of quality.

Will you come to my venue? Yes! Our team of experienced trainers are more than happy to deliver training courses from your workplace or a venue of your choice nationwide, providing it meets our venue checklist of requirements.

Can you provide your due diligence to us? As mentioned above, when opting for modular training, you have a duty to undertake due diligence checks, as a demonstration that you have ensured the appropriate standards of the training that you are implementing. However, when you choose modular training we will provide you (free of charge) with a completed HSE checklist to immediately fulfil this requirement. Our modular training is delivered by the same qualified trainers that we use for our OFQUAL qualifications, with equal quality assurance measures in place, so your educational experience will still be second-to-none!

Is your service guaranteed? Yes, all our training services are guaranteed! Our range of guarantees provides the ultimate in client protection: COVID Guarantee – Our COVID guarantee allows total flexibility if training courses are affected by restrictions, local or national lockdowns. Pass Plus Satisfaction Guarantee – This ensures you will receive a successful outcome for your learners, with all delegates being guided through each training session by our experienced and friendly instructors until they are deemed competent.

What do I need to do? The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require you to provide adequate and appropriate first-aid equipment, facilities, and people so your employees can be given immediate help if they are injured or taken ill at work. What is ‘adequate and appropriate’ will depend on the circumstances in your workplace and you should assess what your first-aid needs are. It is important to remember that accidents and illness can happen at any time. Provision for first aid needs to be available at all times people are at work.

Will modular first aid training fulfil my legal obligations? The answer is yes - "HSE does not advocate, promote or support any particular option. You should select the most suitable option for your requirements. Typically, this will be either first aid at work (FAW) training or emergency first aid at work (EFAW) training. However, it may also be some other level of first-aid training, outside the usual framework, if indicated by the needs assessment" Health & Safety Executive Document GEIS3 - Selecting a first-aid training provider

Do I need accredited first aid training? No - "As an employer, you have a number of options available to you when selecting a first-aid training provider. HSE does not advocate, promote or support any particular option. You should select the most suitable option for your requirements." Health & Safety Executive Document GEIS3 - Selecting a first-aid training provider

Where does the course content come from? Our training courses are designed directly from the relevant legislation for the subject. For example, we use the Resuscitation Council UK and the European Resuscitation Council for all first aid courses, and the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 for Fire Safety courses. This is the gold standard when it comes to up to date, legal, and relevant content.
